- = View modular notes in this space.

The modular notes focus on individual concepts with graphical aids and examples and are the basis for the in-class lectures. The modules form a single sequence. Each of the above "chapter" buttons jumps into the sequence at an appropriate place but the sequence itself ignores chapter boundaries.

The modular notes are presented as a series of screen displays. Use the button to move to the previous screen and the button to move to the next screen. A title at the top of the screen will tell you which module you are in. The presentation moves seamlessly from one module to the next.

Throughout the modular notes, you will find buttons that lead to lists of multiple-choice questions on the material. The question lists open in new windows, which can be closed to return to the main level of the notes.

After you have read through a screen of the notes, try the questions. When you click on an answer choice, (A, B, C, D, or E) you will see a short explanation of why that choice is right or wrong. If you choose a wrong answer, it means that you missed something when you were reading the display screen, so go back and read it again. Each question is repeated three times, with the answers arranged in different orders so that you easily test yourself again on the same question.
