"What activities does the
SFMA sponsor?"
Always popular with students (especially when lunch is provided), the SFMA
runs a number of lunch-time lectures throughout the semester. Recent examples of
SFMA-sponsored lectures include: Surviving the Stress of Medical School,
Principles of Medical Malpractice and Obstetrics in Family Medicine.
Various clinical skills workshops are planned and sponsored by the SFMA each year. Perennial favorites include
the Splinting and Casting Workshop presented by the Fairfax Family Medicine
Residency and the Suturing Workshop presented by the Chesterfield
Family Medicine Residency Program. The OB presentation, by Dr. Steve
Crossman, was a hit and commands repeat performances!
Our CPR Workshop
program has been a great success!
