In a previous incarnation of this site, I had
mistakenly called the house pictured here a "slave hut."
Walter Johnson wrote to inform me that, in fact, his great-grandfather
built the house at Jordan's St. Lucy. At this time, I don't know
what year it was built, what material(s) it was made from, or even what
the great-grandfather's name might be. As I learn more, this page
will change to reflect the new information.
Also continue to check this page--I hope to expand
and begin to include more house pictures in a larger listing, as I've done
with the tree section. It may begin to cross-reference other areas
of the site with a focus on architecture and design.
