The English Department and the University are committed to providing appropriate support for students with disabilities, including learning disabilities. Any student who has a documented disability should identify him/herself to the instructor at the beginning of the semester so that reasonable accommodations or arrangements can be made.

Please read the following official statement:

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 require Virginia Commonwealth University to provide academic adjunstments and/or accommodations for students with documented disabilities.  Students seeking academic adjustments or accomodations must self-identify with the Coordinator of Services for Students with Disabilities at 109 N. Harrison Street.  After meeting with the Coordinator, students are encouraged to meet with their instructor to discuss their needs, and if applicable, any lab safety concerns related to their disabilities.
